Total volume of deposits attracted by banks reaches 70 trillion soums

In 2018, the total volume of deposits attracted by banks amounted to 70 trillion soums, which is 17% more compared to the beginning of the year.

The funds of the population on deposits increased by 21% and reached 14.7 trillion soums, the Central Bank noted.

The share of funds in the national currency in the structure of deposits rose to 62%. It can be considered as an indicator of the decline in the role of foreign currency in the formation of assets attracted by banks.
