Uzbekistan intends to set up National Center for State Defense Management

Uzbekistan is planning to establish National Center for State Defense Management. This is stated in the draft State Program “Year of Active Investments and Social Development”, which is based on the Actions Strategy along five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

The document envisages the establishment and operation of the National Center for State Defense Management and the improvement of the order of management of troops on the basis of advanced information and communication technologies.

It is also envisaged to carry out a unified state policy in the field of state defense order and production of defense equipment, as well as the implementation of a comprehensive program for the supply of modern armament and military equipment to the armed forces of Uzbekistan in 2018-2021.
