Border troops discover an explosive device and a detonator in a freight train

Border troops of Surkhandarya region Customs Department discovered an explosive device and a detonator which was hidden in one of the wagons of a freight train, UzA said.

The train was coming from neighboring Turkmenistan.

“At around 2.00 o'clock in the morning, customs officers at the railway station “Boldir”, while checking a freight train coming from Turkmenistan, discovered a red-colored explosive device and a detonator,” said Shokhruz Uralov, inspector of the Public Relations and Media Communications Department of the Regional Customs Administration.

At present, a criminal case has been initiated on this fact and investigative actions are underway.
