Jasur Aripov has been appointed Director of the newly created Agency for Urbanization, Kun.uz correspondent said.
Aripov also received the post of First Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry.
It should be noted that Aripov, from February 2018, served as first deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee. Previously, he also served as the First Deputy Director of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement under the General Prosecutor’s Office.
The Agency for Urbanization, which is part of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Uzbekistan, was established on January 11, 2019.
It will be engaged in the implementation of a unified state policy in the sphere of regulation of urbanization, as well as long-term planning of the rates, stages and results of the industrialization policy.
