On January 15, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Jumahon Giyosov, who, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States, became the Director of the SCO Regional Antiterrorist Structure located in Tashkent, the MFA reported.
The Minister congratulated the representative of the Republic of Tajikistan Jumahon Giyosov on taking office for a three-year term and stressed that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the activities of the organization, which is the main body of the SCO to ensure the interaction of member states in the fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism.
It was noted at the meeting that in a relatively short time, a lot of work has been done on the institutional development and improvement of the activities of the RATS SCO.
The sides exchanged views on the upcoming events within the framework of the RATS SCO in 2019.
