Uzbekistan is not listed in the rating of safest countries of the world

An English financial magazine Global Finance has compiled a rating of the safest countries in the world. The list is published on the website of the publication. Interestingly, Uzbekistan is not included in the rating.

The assessment was made based on three criteria: “war and peace”, “personal security of citizens” and “risk of natural disasters”. Based on them, a common index was compiled (the less, the better), which demonstrates a “comprehensive view of security in each country”, Global Finance explained.

Thus, Iceland led the rating – it received only 6,16 points. It is followed by Switzerland – 7,01. Finland closes the top three with 7,04. The top ten also included Portugal, Austria, Norway, Qatar, Singapore, Denmark and New Zealand. The USA settled on the 65th place due to high level of crime, as well as high probability of a natural disaster.

Russia occupies the 108th place in the rating. It is associated with high level of crime and threat to peace in the country, as well as downturn in the economy.

Among other countries of the former Soviet Union, Estonia ranked 17th, Kazakhstan – 44, Georgia – 49, Tajikistan – 68, Azerbaijan – 71, Kyrgyzstan – 89 and Ukraine – 116.

Global Finance recognized the Philippines as the most unsafe country in the world (17,7 points). The country has low rates in terms of peace, security and prevalence of natural disasters, experts say.

The penultimate line of the rating was taken by Yemen (15.93 points). Experts explain that such assessment of its security is associated with war and famine. Nevertheless, there is a low risk of natural disasters in this country. Therefore, the Philippines occupy a lower place in the ranking compared to Yemen.
