Uzbekistan ready to co-op with Kyrgyzstan on the implementation of the project Kambar-Ata-1 HPP
Uzbekistan is ready to work on the implementation of the project for the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 HPP, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Komil Rashidov said on January 29 at a briefing.
He explained that the parties are planning to create a joint water commission that will consider all the issues of rational water use in the region.
“We also have a memorandum of cooperation between national energy companies,” he added.
On October 6, 2017, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan signed a memorandum on the implementation of the Kambar-Ata-1 HPP project and a contract for the export of electricity.
