The corpse of a 31-year-old resident of Chartak district is found in a canal flowing through Turakurgan district of Namangan region.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, on January 18, there was a strong scandal in the family of the deceased. As a result of the quarrel, a relative cut down the man’s head with an ax.
After that, the corpse was wrapped in a blanket, and then in cellophane. Subsequently, it was thrown into the canal.
The General Prosecutor's Office reported that a criminal case on the fact of the murder of a 31-year-old male has been initiated. An uncle of the deceased and his aunt’s son are also suspected of killing the man.
According to the press service, the uncle and a son of the victim’s aunt are detained. Now his wife and cousin are wanted.
A criminal case was initiated against the two detainees under Article 97, Paragraph “p” of Part 2 (deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. Currently, both are under arrest.
The wife of the deceased and her lover, who was the cousin of the killed man, fled to neighboring Kazakhstan. At the moment, they are wanted by law enforcement bodies.
The prosecutor's office in Namangan region is carrying out the investigation of this murder.
It should be noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office has taken control of investigating this criminal case.
