Central Bank presents logo of new national payment system “Humo”

Central Bank of Uzbekistan presented the logo of the new national payment system “Humo”.

According to the regulator, the payment system will be fully launched by the end of the year.

Currently, work is underway on the creation of engineering infrastructure, the purchase of bank cards, terminal devices and ATMs (info kiosks).

It should be reminded that after the serious malfunction of UzCard Payment System in September 2018, the President of Uzbekistan instructed the Central Bank to create a National Interbank Processing Center and a new retail payment system.

In this regard, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan announced a competition among Uzbek citizens to choose a brand name for the new national payment system. Thus, gaining over 4 thousand votes, “Humo” was chosen as a brand name for the NPS.
