High-ranking US official is expected in Uzbekistan on Feb 25
On February 25, 2019, a US delegation led by Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asia Affairs Alice Wells will arrive in Uzbekistan.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the program of the visit includes holding a regular round of bilateral consultations, meetings and negotiations in the ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
It should be reminded that earlier Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva, within the framework of her visit to the United States, met with Alice Wells in Washington DC. The US official then highly praised Uzbekistan’s attempts to intensify and expand cooperation with international non-governmental organizations. In her opinion, the transparency and openness with which reforms are being implemented in our country are conducive to strengthening international reputation.
