Uzbek youths attend SCO Youth Forum in Bishkek
A youth forum, dedicated to the development of the tourism industry in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) space, is being held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz media reports.
The event, which started today and lasts until Feb 28, is attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to discuss issues related to the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan, promotion of entrepreneurship in this sector and improvement of conditions for boosting youth mobility through the launch of a “Youth Card” of the SCO countries. Besides, discussing successful cases for tourism development in SCO member states is also scheduled.
Kyrgyzstan’s Vice PM Altynai Omurbekova, delivering a speech at the opening ceremony of the forum, noted that holding such activities is an important event for Kyrgyzstan.
“Within the framework of the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the SCO, along with the meeting of the heads of the organization’s member states, a number of cultural and humanitarian events will be held, including those for youth,” she stated.
