Abdulaziz Kamilov to attend OIC-CFM session in Abu Dhabi
On March 1-2, delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov will take part in the 46th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Abu Dhabi, the MFA reports.
Uzbek delegation, during their stay in the UAE, will hold talks with the leadership of the OIC and heads of delegations attending the session.
The 45th session of the Council was held on 5-6 May 2018 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference was inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
The theme of the session was “Islamic Values for Sustainable Peace, Solidarity and Development”. The agenda of the 45th Session of the CFM were the humanitarian challenges in the OIC Member States with a special focus on the humanitarian situation on the Rohingyas.
During the session, the meetings of the Special Committee, various meetings of OIC Ministerial Contact Groups and elections including those of the Assistant Secretaries General (ASG) of OIC were held in parallel.
