UAE extradites suspects wanted for large-scale fraud to Uzbekistan

Several Uzbek citizens who were placed on an international wanted list for committing large-scale fraud have been extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Uzbekistan.

The extradition was completed through the coordinated efforts of the Interpol National Central Bureaus in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi. The operation was further supported by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan stationed at the Consulate General in Dubai.

According to law enforcement authorities, the suspects had fled the country to evade prosecution after allegedly executing high-value fraudulent schemes. Collaborative investigative work and international search tracking allowed the partner agencies to locate and apprehend the fugitives within the UAE.

Following their arrival in Uzbekistan, the individuals were handed over to national investigative authorities. They are currently undergoing mandatory procedural actions and will stand trial in accordance with domestic legislation.
