Brand of Tashkent city confirmed
In accordance with a resolution of the Council of People's Deputies of Tashkent city, the capital’s brand (logo) has been approved, the press service of the Tashkent city administration reports.
According to the results of the competition held by the Tashkent city administration and the Public Council of the Tashkent City Administration, the symbol of letter “T” with open golden gates of the city and blue sky was considered the most eye-catching.
New logo can be used at tourist exhibitions and trade fairs in Uzbekistan and abroad, tourist facilities, maps, printed and electronic editions; on souvenir items, dresses and other products for tourists, as well as in the advertisement, video and television programs devoted to the tourism of Tashkent city.
The concept of the logo is based on hospitality and tolerance of the city through the open gates, as well as a symbol of blue sky embracing peaceful and tranquil life. The main aspect of the icon is that it can be adapted to different situations, to the theme. Additionally, it can be decorated to fit the picture and shape. This will allow it to be set up in different parts of the city, including events in public places – museums, service facilities, transport, exhibitions and cultural events.
“Visitors to Tashkent can imagine its hospitality and openness to everyone. When leaving the city, they always have bright memories of the beloved city’s gateway that will always be open to all and will be warmly impressed with the interesting aspects,” the brand was elucidated.
