Over 50 agricultural company representatives of the Netherlands visit Uzbekistan to attend Uzbek-Dutch business forum

On March 11-15, 2019, delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands headed by Ambassador (with residence in Moscow) René Jones-Bos will visit Uzbekistan, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

According to the Embassy of our country in the Netherlands with a residence in Brussels, the delegation plans to take part in the international exhibition "AgroWorld-2019" in Tashkent and visit the Namangan region to discuss issues of expanding investment cooperation in agriculture. As part of the delegation of the Netherlands, representatives of more than 50 agricultural companies will arrive in Uzbekistan, taking leading positions in their fields of specialization and possessing advanced technologies.

During the visit in Tashkent and Namangan (March 12 and 14, respectively), an Uzbek-Dutch business forum is planned with the involvement of representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Agriculture, business circles of the republic, farmers and local entrepreneurs interested in establishing cooperation with Dutch partners.

The embassy of our country with the support of the leadership of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan is currently completing negotiations with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Netherlands on the content of the business forum in Tashkent. It includes:

• cultivation of agricultural products and creation of a horticultural center;

• seed production;

• gardening;

• greenhouse production;

• production and use of refrigeration equipment;

• agricultural equipment;

• production of dairy products.

The delegation intends to visit the agricultural enterprises of the Namangan region to demonstrate the potential and opportunities for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
