Presidential university to be opened in Tashkent
A presidential university will be opened in Tashkent. On March 1, president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said this at a meeting in Namangan with participation of the regional leadership, heads of ministries and departments, Gazeta.uz reports.
“There are gifted children in all spheres. It is necessary to raise their spirit, knowledge, tomorrow they will become worthy children of our ancestors. I want to reveal one secret: in future, a presidential university will be opened in Tashkent. I will teach children there. There will be new meaning and new building,” the head of state said.
The TV channel Uzbekistan 24 reported that a presidential school would be opened in Namangan region in 2019. Earlier, according to the resolution signed by the president, it was expected that this year the presidential schools will appear in Tashkent, Nukus and Khiva.
“We can buy a house, but it becomes obsolete. We can buy a car, but it will also become old. If we give knowledge, it will never become outdated, it will not change, it will only be accumulated over the years. This is wealth. We should be proud of our children, grandchildren, and not home, car, money. I appeal to the people of Namangan, let's not allow “losing” our grandchildren and children. Parents are responsible for children,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev underlined.
