Construction of the first Presidential school kicks off

First Deputy PM Ochilboy Ramatov, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Musa Erniyazov and Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan for “Nuroniy” foundation Sharap Usnatdinov laid a capsule on foundation of the Presidential school and gave a start to construction works. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Public Education. 

Reportedly, the first Presidential school will be built in front of the Karakalpak State University named after Berdak.

It should be recalled, on February 20, 2019, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decree “On establishment of Presidential schools”.

According to the document, Presidential schools will be organized gradually throughout the country.

The first three schools will be opened this year in Nukus, Tashkent and Khiva. In 2019, it was also decided to build a Presidential school in Namangan.

It is planned that Presidential schools will be established in other regions of the country in 2020-2021.

The Cambridge Assessment International Education is expected to organize admission examinations to Presidential schools.
