Odilbek Isakov becomes Deputy FinMin
Odilbek Isakov was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan. He will be responsible for working with global rankings and indices.
Isakov, as deputy minister, should ensure coordinated interaction of ministries and departments, and also make proposals for critical review at meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers. He will work to improve the position of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices.
Odilbek Isakov was born in 1981. In 1998-2000, he studied at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and later at Manchester Metropolitan University. Isakov earned his master's degree in finance from the University of Strathclyde.
He has been working for HSBC for over 12 years and has experience as an investment banker. His activity was related to the development of the securities market in developing countries.
