Private business entities to be allowed to provide services at airports
In Uzbekistan, it is planned to allow the private business sector to provide paid services at airport territories, where the private business has not yet had access. This is reflected on the roadmap for the development of passenger and freight traffic.
In particular, a set of measures will be developed to increase revenues from non-aviation activities. To implement this, it will be allowed to involve representatives of private business.
The necessary regulatory framework for these purposes should be developed before June 1 of this year. The Ministry of Transport and the NAC Uzbekistan Airways have been appointed responsible bodies.
