Uzbek Culture Days kicks off in Vienna

On March 12, 2019, Uzbek Culture Days started for the first time in Vienna, the MFA reported.

The events included in the program of the Culture Days are organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria together with the Foundation “KultEuriasia - Dialogue of Cultures in Eurasia” under the leadership of Austrian public figures Daniela Lieberwirth and Dr. Peter Felch, representatives of State Philharmonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography and with the participation of artisans and masters of art of Samarkand and Bukhara.

The following events are planned for the Culture Days:

- participation of creative teams in the celebration of “Navruz” in the Vienna office of the United Nations;

- organization of media presentations on the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and its global significance;

- four concerts with the participation of national-instrumental creative team “Shodlik” from Tashkent, headed by Dilmurod Mirzayev;

- Uzbek dance master classes from the famous Swiss choreographer, Uzbek dance master Kati Daniela Hillebrand and choreographer of Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography Shirin Jalilova;

- seminar and master classes on miniature painting of artistic embossing from Bukhara masters Feruza Temirov and Anvar Kurbanov;

- demonstration of tailoring of Samarkand suzane from professionals Dilshod Abdulkhaev and Nafisa Shakirova;

- two exhibitions of applied art and traditional crafts of Uzbekistan.
