Uzbekistan intends to collaborate with Hungarian business circles
The delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov held a number of meetings in Hungary, the ministerial press service said. The main issues of discussion were systemic activities to expand bilateral cooperation between the business circles of the two countries.
Negotiations with Gedeon Richter Ltd. representative Tibor Horvath were promising - organization of pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan under a well-known Hungarian brand was discussed.
An agreement was reached with management of the company on a business visit to Uzbekistan in order to study economic potential and industrial infrastructure of free pharmaceutical industrial zones, raw material markets and sale of finished products, as well as prospects for its implementation in neighboring countries.
The delegation also met with head of the private airline Wizz Air Joseph Varadi. The airline is the third largest low-cost airline in Europe, operating flights to more than 250 destinations in 29 countries.
Noting the attractiveness of direct flights between capitals of the two countries, Joseph Varadi supported the view that it is necessary to study the civil aviation market of Uzbekistan for a clearer vision of the format and strategy of cooperation. The company management will visit the country in April-May of the current year.
