On the portal of discussion of normative-legal acts, a draft document “On amendments and additions to some resolutions of the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been placed.
In accordance with the document, protection of specialized medical-preventive institutions for compulsory treatment of patients addicted to alcohol or narcotic drugs may be provided on a contractual basis by the forces of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The number of these divisions shall be determined in accordance with the funds stipulated by the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
In addition, protecting diplomatic offices and private residences can be carried out by the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan (now the Ministry of Interior) on the order established by law, on a contractual basis at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic of Uzbekistan. The technical strength of diplomatic offices and residences, entrusted to protection of the National Guard divisions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, shall comply with requirements of normative acts of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In addition, protecting the territory of the “Durmon” National park can be transferred from internal affairs bodies and other competent authorities to the National Guard.
Earlier, it was reported that the main tasks of the National Guard training centers would be determined.
