Another prosecutor investigating the case of former Prosecutor General Rashid Kadyrov arrested - Media
A former senior investigator for special cases at the Department for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption under the General Prosecutor's Office, the prosecutor of Buka district in the Tashkent region Bakhrom Kobilov became a defendant in the criminal case, a number of media sources reported.
According to media reports, on March 12 of this year, Bakhrom Kobilov was taken out of his office in handcuffs. A lawyer involved in the investigation stated that “the detainee Kobilov is accused of using torture and illegal investigative techniques during the investigation of ex-prosecutor general Rashid Kadyrov”.
“The former prosecutor of Namangan region Ulugbek Toshev, who was detained on March 8, gave testimony against Kobilov,” the media report said.

“We have no official confirmation,” the spokesperson of the ministry Surayyo Rakhmanova said.
It should be recalled that on October 23, 2018, Bakhrom Kobilov was appointed prosecutor of Buka district, Tashkent region. He also acted as a public prosecutor in the case of journalist Bobomurod Abdullayev, who was arrested and released in 2018.
Earlier, it was reported in the media that on March 8, the former prosecutor of Namangan region Ulugbek Toshev was detained by the State Security Service officers upon giving a large bribe to one of the high-ranking Uzbek officials.
