Alisher Usmanov's holding company agrees on car-sharing procurement
Following Yandex, Mail.ru Group may have its own car-sharing – Alisher Usmanov’s holding company is negotiating to buy a stake in the fourth-largest Russian operator YouDrive, The Bell reports.
A source close to one of the parties to the transaction, confirmed the fact of negotiations with YouDrive. Mail.Ru is interested in acquiring the current car-sharing operator. The final decision has not yet been made, but most likely the object for acquisition is YouDrive.
It should be recalled that YouDrive with 2,500 cars (including pool partners) occupies the fourth place in the Russian car-sharing market.
The largest participants are Yandex.Drive (6500 cars), Delimobil (6000) and BelkaСar (4050 at the end of 2018). 60% of YouDrive shares are owned by its founders Boris Golikov, Andrei Kuprikov and Alexei Nurdinov, 40% – by the Moscow dealer of Mercedes-Benz “Panavto”, which provided the service of first Smart cars.
