People propose to restrict the movement of trucks in Uzbekistan. Would it be possible in large cities?

There are numerous complaints addressed to Kun.uz. One of the subscribers Doniyor Karimov sent a request which seems meaningless at a glance. However, when the world's experience is examined, it is clear that it should be considered.

"I ask you to study the proposal on preventing traffic jams in the morning and evening in the capital and inform the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

My suggestion proposed earlier was ignored. It would be advisable to prohibit the truck movement in Tashkent on week days, i.e. from Monday to Friday between 07:00 to 09:00 in the morning and from 18:00 till 20:00 in the evening. In order to be convinced of the complexity of the matter, you can see that many cars are moving in the "Rohat" roundabout in the morning from the Akhangaran highway to the capital and the traffic is increasing dramatically. Please consider the matter”.

This proposal seems unreasonable. The reason is simple: Tashkent is a big city, trucks must always provide food, daily necessities. Moreover, the capital has become a huge construction site.

In Tashkent, the traffic is increasing not only from year to year, but from month to month.

Let's look at the experience of a number of large cities:

* France, Paris. This state government tried to allocate more than half the city roads to public transport, the rest only for private cars;

* United Kingdom, London. In this ancient city, the city administration has set up a simple and easy way - you enter the city center with a car, and you have to pay. Even the residents of the area must pay a certain amount of money;

* Denmark, Copenhagen. The style in this country is extremely effective and useful. More than 20% of the population is using bicycles and this indicator is increasing.

* The Miracle of the Asian Continent - Singapore. This city-state uses a simple and effective way - cars are extremely expensive. It is necessary to pay 3-4 times more expensive than the car's value;

* The experience of China and its big cities is flooded with everything. For example, if a driver dies, the vacant space will be released. You can also win a lottery lottery. In large cities, on a specific day, certain categories may move on to the second category in pairs.

* Russia, Moscow. Without limiting the barriers, restrictions and methods of payment, this city administration is particularly pragmatic in accelerating the development of public transport, in particular the subway system, in the launch of many new routes. Also, intensification of works on increasing the underground roads, bridges, tunnels, and transport nodes.

They deal with this issue almost in all megapolis.

It should be noted that large-scale projects are being implemented in Uzbekistan, particularly in Tashkent. For instance, a three-storey modern bridge project, built in the crossroads of Bunyodkor and Muqimiy Streets in the Chilanzar district in the past few years, and the one at the intersection of Choponota-Bunyodkor crossroads are good examples of it.

Traffic department notes:

- Traffic movements are regulated by relevant decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers. We operate according to these rules and all should obey these rules.

Now, let's talk about the Ahangaran highway:

1. Akhhangaran highway is a significant road;

2. By geometric parameters, this street is designed to serve all kinds of vehicles;

3. This road is the only way to connect the capital with the Fergana valley, any type of restrictions cause great discomfort over there;

4. Any restrictions should be coordinated by several organizations.
