Woman who swallowed 8 pieces of gold caught while trying to get through customs check

In Tashkent, a woman swallowed eight pieces of gold in an attempt to get through customs check.

According to the press service of the State Customs Committee, the passenger flying en route “Tashkent - Amritsar”, with her nervousness, caused suspicion among customs officers, as a result of which a customs check was carried out.

“As a result of a personal search, it turned out that this citizen attempted to illegally take out 8 small pieces of gold in her stomach. The amount of gold seized as material evidence amounted to almost 36 million soums,” the press service said.

Currently, according to the revealed fact of the offense, customs checks are being conducted.
