In the structure of Tashkent city administration, a state unitary enterprise “Toshkent transporti” will be created. This is stated in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
The new organization will deal with development of the city’s road and transport infrastructure.
The document notes that in 2019-2021, public transport stops will be upgraded to a single concept. Stops will be adapted for people with disabilities.
In addition, the stops will be equipped with Wi-Fi and electronic boards, which will show the time, how much time is left before the arrival of the next bus.
In addition, the SUE “Toshkent transporti” will implement in car parks a system of accounting and receiving payments at the entrance (exit).
A single center for managing the parking space of the Uzbek capital will also appear.
If drivers break the parking rules and do not pay for parking services, then a special city service will evacuate the car.
