Shares of “Jizzakh plastmassa” to be sold through IPO

Up to 25% of the shares of JSC “Jizzakh plastmassa” will be put up for sale through an IPO, it follows from the presidential decree.

The plant is located in the south-eastern part of Jizzakh city. It was designed in the 1960s and commissioned in 1972. By the volume of production, the plant ranked second among the four largest factories of the USSR.

In general, the plant remained the main supplier of tapes and pipes for agricultural and construction sectors of Uzbekistan.

The company is also focused on the production of consumer goods. The total area of the JSC “Jizzakh plastmassa” with industrial and non-industrial facilities is 14.9 hectares.

In 2016 (the latest data), 210 people worked at the plant. According to the State Statistics Committee, now the state owns 66.2%, JSC Uzkimyosanoat - 27.1%, individuals and legal entities - 6.7%.

Earlier, it was reported that by the end of the year about 6 companies in Uzbekistan would be offered for sale through an IPO.
