President: Markets in some areas need to be transferred to private management
At the videoconference meeting devoted to the issues of budget execution and export forecast for the first quarter, as well as unconditional performance of indicators for the first half of the year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev touched upon the topic of market revenues.
“Another important issue is the revenues from the markets. If revenues for the first quarter from the markets of Shumanay and Dehkanabad districts amounted to 80%, and Peshkuy, Vobkent, Jondor, Kushrabat, Andijan, Okoltin and Arnasay - 90% of the planned, in Nukus this figure did not reach 50%.
Along with this, the Tashkent market “Navruz dekhkon bozori” was transferred to the private sector as an experiment in trust management. As a result, monthly receipts increased by 300 million soums or twice, and revenues from the parking lot - three times.
It is necessary to develop proposals for the implementation of this experience in other, lagging markets”, the correspondent of Kun.uz conveys the words of the president.
For information, the number of markets and shopping complexes with a state share in Uzbekistan is 491. Their total debt reached 80 billion soums.
