Shakhobiddin Zoirov to hold his debut fight in professional boxing against Anthony Holt
Champion of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, an Uzbek boxer Shakhobiddin Zoirov will hold his first fight in the professional ring on April 5 in Dubai, Fightnews.info writes.
Our compatriot will debut in a confrontation with the little-known Anthony Holt, the fight will be broadcast by platforms ESPN + and IFL TV.
Zoirov spoke about his professional debut:
“As an Olympic champion, I feel that I have some value in boxing. People's expectations are very high, and I am ready to justify them. I enjoyed my amateur career, but it is time to start a new journey and make some “fuss” in professional boxing. Actually, for me it doesn't matter who is in the opposite corner of the ring. As an Olympic champion, I believe in my strength and victory. I want to debut with a victory, as my great friend Khurshid Tojibayev did.”
In this boxing event, a number of Zoyirov’s partners will also participate on the MTK Global team, including Davey Oliver Joyce and Stephen Tiffney, who will compete for the WBO European featherweight championship title and Sultan Zaurbek of Kazakhstan, who is gradually gaining fame.
