President of Kyrgyzstan gifts a car to Uzbek boxing coach Akmal Hasanov
On September 11, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, met with Uzbek boxing coach Akmal Hasanov and gifted him a Chevrolet Tracker for his contribution to the Olympic success of Kyrgyz boxer Munarbek Seyitbek uulu.
Japarov emphasized that the actions of the Uzbek coach demonstrated the friendship and solidarity between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
"The whole world witnessed the Central Asian nations supporting each other and showing solidarity and friendly relations," said the president's press service, quoting Japarov.
Sadyr Japarov also highlighted the impressive results achieved by Uzbek athletes at the Paris Olympics. "Uzbekistan places significant emphasis on sports. Over the last three years, we have actively begun supporting our athletes. There were times when we could not allocate funds for participation in competitions. Now, the state is providing all the necessary conditions, even ensuring the supply of vitamins," the president said.
Akmal Hasanov expressed gratitude to the neighboring country's president, noting that he had met Munarbek Seyitbek uulu many times at training camps and had unhesitatingly agreed to be his second at the Paris Olympics.
It should be noted that Kyrgyz boxer Munarbek Seyitbek uulu made history by winning a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, becoming Kyrgyzstan's first Olympic boxing medalist. His own coach was unable to attend the Olympics due to visa issues, so Akmal Hasanov served as his second during the round of 16, quarterfinal, and semifinal bouts.
