President departs for Surkhandarya region

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Surkhandarya region to participate in the opening ceremony of the International Bakhshi Art Festival in Termez, the presidential press service reported.

In accordance with the presidential decree of November 1, 2018, this festival was preceded by large-scale preparation. The construction and improvement work has been carried out, all conveniences for participants and guests of the festival have been created.

A cultural and educational program has been prepared, including performances of folklore and ethnographic ensembles, excursions to historical monuments, a scientific conference and various exhibitions.

The festival will last until April 10.
