Uzbekistan to take part in counterterrorism exercises of the CIS countries

According to the press service of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, a counterterrorism exercise Ararat Antiterror 2019 will take place in seven countries of the CIS this year.

Security bodies and special services of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as interested ministries and departments of the Republic of Armenia will take part in the international exercise.

It is noteworthy that on 9 April, Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Colonel Artur Vanetsyan received the delegation of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center led by the deputy director of the Center, Major-General S. G. Dudko, who visited the country to hold staff talks on the sidelines of the preparations for the Ararat Antiterror 2019.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the situation on the borders of CIS countries and the current threats emerging as a result of the changes that have been made in the strategies of international terrorist organizations following the organizations’ major losses in Syria and Iraq.
