Drug trafficker detained for hiding over 1 kg marijuana at home in Fergana region
A resident of the Kushtepa district in Fergana region hid at home more than 1 kilogram of marijuana.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, on April 8, police officers discovered 1,369 grams of marijuana in one of the houses in the Kushtepa district.
The State Customs Committee of the Republic clarified that the lawbreaker was storing drugs in glass jars, carton boxes and matchboxes. The drug substance was also found in plastic bags at the basement of the house.
On the fact, a criminal case was initiated. An investigation is underway.
Earlier, at the border village Tutzor, law enforcement officers found around 2.5 kilograms of drugs (1.9 kilograms of marijuana and 600 grams of hashish) during an investigative search.
