The Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov held the meeting with a delegation led by Omar Mohammad Sulaimon, head of Kam Air. Timur Khalilov, head of the Commercial Activities Department at Uzbekistan Airports JSC, also took part.
The talks focused on implementing agreements reached during a Fergana Region delegation’s visit to Afghanistan on July 26–27 and on prospects for expanding cooperation in the aviation sector.
The sides exchanged views on opportunities to implement the airline project, the necessary infrastructure and arrangements for providing the required services.
They also discussed measures to move the project towards practical implementation with the participation of relevant organisations and specialists and to organise the work in line with international standards.
The sides agreed on further steps and prospective areas of cooperation.
The July 26–27 visit included a series of meetings aimed at promoting trade, economic and investment cooperation and expanding mutually beneficial ties.
