Uzbekistan, Tajikistan discuss demarcation of the State border

On April 11-17, 2019, Samarkand hosted a regular meeting of delegations of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in order to agree on the organizational and legal issues of the State border demarcation.
During the talks, the parties prepared draft regulatory and technical documents on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Tajik State border, and also agreed on a schedule of field work.
Following the event, a relevant Protocol was signed. The next meeting of the delegations of the two countries will take place on the territory of Tajikistan in May.
According to the MFA, the meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
