“The main objective of the project is to expand the use of e-information resources in society, as well as to connect information and library facilities to a single electronic library system, improve the intellectual potential and knowledge of the population. The National e-library, providing general education, consists of a material digitization center, a multimedia center and an integrated electronic library system. We believe that the library will contribute not only to development of the library-information sector in Uzbekistan, but also to information-communication technologies,” the chairman of the Eximbank Eun Sung-soo said.

According to the director of the National Library of Uzbekistan Umid Teshabayev, despite the fact that foundation of the electronic library was laid in 2018, the work on equipping information-library centers has begun much earlier.
