Representatives of Uzbekistan take part at International Quran Recital Assembly
On April 15-20, 2019, the 61st International Al-Quran Recital and Memorization Assembly was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Around 100 Quran reciters from 86 countries of the world took part in it, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The event was initiated in 1961 by the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman, and is held annually under the patronage of the Malaysian government.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, at this prestigious competition, our country was represented by Ubaydullo Isakov, who took the fourth place in the Quran memorization category, and Mufazzala Saidaliyeva, who was awarded the seventh place in the Recital category.
Memorable gifts to the winners and participants of the event were presented by the King of Malaysia, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
