As of April 1, 2019, 230,9 thousand operating enterprises and organizations were registered in the service sector, which is 65,8 % of their total number (350,7 thousand units.).Their growth, compared with last year, amounted to 17 %, the State Statistics Committee said.
Of the total number of organizations and enterprises providing services, more than 171 thousand are small businesses.
The structure of existing enterprises and organizations in the service sector are dominated by the share of ones engaged in commercial activities (36.2 %).
The share of operating enterprises and organizations providing accommodation and food services amounted to 9.4 % and the ones engaged in information activities and providing communication services to 3.1%.
