Traffic on a number of streets temporarily blocked in Tashkent
On April 27 and 28, due to the road cycling championships being held in the capital city of Uzbekistan, a number of streets are be closed for traffic.
According to the press service of the Tashkent city Internal Affairs Directorate, the following streets will be blocked for traffic movement:
Amir Temur Street – from the International Hotel Tashkent to Navoi Street;
Navoi Street – from Amir Temur Street to Sharaf Rashidov Street;
Sharaf Rashidov Street – from Navoi Street to Afrosiab Street;
Afrosiab Street – from Sharaf Rashidov Street to Shahrisabz Street;
Oybek Street – from Shahrisabz Street to Nukus Street;
Nukus street – from Oybek Street to Makhtumkuli Street;
Abdulla Kadyri Street – from Makhtumkuli Street to Amir Temur Street;
Amir Temur Street – from Abdulla Kadyri Street to Bogishamol Street.
The police department also noted that participants of the competition will pass another round through the streets of Amir Temur, Navoi, Sharaf Rashidov, Afrosiab, Oybek, Abdulla Kadyri and Nukus, from where they will continue to move along Makhtumkuli and Abdulla Kadyri streets to reach the Akhangaran highway and the traffic post station “Shark” in Bektemir district.
