US dollar on the rise against the weakening Uzbek soum
The Central Bank (CB) of Uzbekistan has established new exchange rates of foreign currencies for the purpose of accounting, statistical and other reporting on foreign exchange transactions, as well as calculation of customs and other obligatory payments, which will be effective from April 30, 2019.
According to the Central Bank, the US dollar increased in value by 4.13 soums and reached the mark of 8445.49 soums.
The euro, in the meantime, dropped by 78.12 soums and amounted to 9,415.03 soums.
The Russian ruble also fell by 1.51 soums and is now equal to 130.27 soums.
It should be noted that the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan does not undertake the responsibility of selling or buying those currencies at a fixed price.
