Modernization of Tashkent International Airport to cost $470 million
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on measures to further improve the mechanisms for attracting foreign direct investment in the economy, which provides for the modernization of the international airport in Tashkent.
According to the decree, the modernization of the international airport will cost $470 million. The conclusion of an agreement with the International Finance Corporation for the provision of consulting services will be held in May 2019.
The document notes that the request for tender proposals will be published in September 2019, the preparation and submission of tender proposals will take place in December of this year, and the evaluation of tender proposals in January of next year.
The winner of the tender will be announced in February 2020, and the agreement will be signed in March.
According to the resolution, the modernization of the international airport in Tashkent will begin in May next year.
