Talks on demarcation of Uzbek-Turkmen state border held in Urgench
On April 29 - May 5, a regular meeting of working groups of the Uzbek-Turkmen intergovernmental commission on delimitation and demarcation of the state border between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was held in Urgench, the press service of the MFA reports.
It was noted that the results of the topographic-geodesic works carried out on the interstate border were discussed during the negotiations. Preliminary calculation of the balance of land was concluded and the draft of drawing the demarcation line from some sections of the state border was prepared.
During the meeting, issues of taking photos by airplanes for preparation of demarcation maps were discussed.
Following the talks, the heads of delegations Tulkin Abdullayev and Mamed Mamedov signed a relevant protocol.
