Construction Minister becomes Shaykhantahur district khokim
Construction Minister of Uzbekistan Abdukahhor Tukhtayev is appointed khokim of the Shaykhantahur district of Tashkent.
The council of people's deputies of the Shaykhantakhur district unanimously approved his candidacy on May 10. The former khokim Shukhrat Muhammadkhonov was dismissed by the President on April 4 for shortcomings in the execution of the local budget plans.
Earlier since September 2016 Abdukahhor Tukhtaev, 62, worked as Jizzakh city khokim and in 2005-2011 khokim of Tashkent city.
In 1996-1999, he headed Tashkent’s Shaykhantahur district, in 1999-2001 - deputy khokim of Tashkent, responsible for construction, in 2001-2005 - first deputy khokim. From 2013 to 2016 he worked as deputy chief of UzLITIneftgas, a design institute, subsidiary of Uzbekneftegaz.
It should be recalled that the Ministry of Construction was organized in accordance with the decree of the President “On measures to radically improve the system of public administration in the construction sector” dated April 2, 2018.
