Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and China discuss preparations for upcoming SCO Summit in Bishkek

On May 22, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi in Bishkek.

According to the press service of the MFA, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies focused on the implementation of the agreements reached on April 25, 2019 during the bilateral meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman Xi Jinping as part of the Second International Forum “One Belt, One Road” in Beijing.

The ministers discussed preparations for the upcoming SCO Summit in Bishkek, stressing their interest in its successful outcome.

The parties also exchanged views on topical international and regional issues.
