Urgench to host first meeting of Uzbek-Russian joint commission at the level of Prime Ministers

On May 29-30, a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Uzbekistan.

According to the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, the Russian delegation will be received by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the visit, it is planned to hold in Urgench the first meeting of the Uzbek-Russian joint commission at the level of heads of government - a new format of bilateral cooperation established during the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan and summit talks in October 2018.

The Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia will sum up the 20th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation held on April 24, and discuss promising areas for further development of trade and economic relations, filling them with concrete practical content.

The agenda of the visit also includes a tour to Khiva.
