Seed-growing clusters to be created in Uzbekistan
Seed-growing clusters will be created in Uzbekistan. This is stated in the new government decree “On measures to create modern seed clusters in the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the Ministry of Justice said.
According to the document, already in 2019 in the Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Samarkand, Surkhandarya and Fergana regions a cluster form of seed production of agricultural crops will be gradually introduced.
Such clusters will be created with participation of investors, who will cooperate with the Center for Seed Development.
The State Support Fund for Agriculture at the Ministry of Finance will issue loans for the construction of such facilities.
