Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship kicked off in Thailand. Before the tournament, a regular meeting of the Asian Gymnastics Association was held, at which the works done for the current period and challenges faced by the organization were discussed.
According to the NOC of Uzbekistan, at the meeting, gymnasts of the national team of Uzbekistan were awarded gold medals for the team championship of the 2017 contests.
“In the Asian Championship 2017, gold medals were awarded to the national team of Kazakhstan, and our gymnasts received silver medals. However, due to doping scandals among the gymnasts of the Kazakhstan national team, their results were annulled. Justice triumphed and members of the national team of Uzbekistan - Anastasia Serdyukova, Sabina Tashkenbayeva, Nuriniso Usmonova and Anora Davlatova were awarded gold medals. The athlete girls were presented these awards by the deputy chairman of the Uzbekistan Gymnastics Federation Ruslan Mustayev,” the NOC press service noted.
