Eco-airport to be built in Andijan (video)

A new airport that will use solar power will be built in Andijan.

According to the report of the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, the terminal of the airport will have the shape of the country’s national emblem. 

It should be noted that due to critical condition of its infrastructure and dilapidated runway, Andijan airport has stopped functioning.

Reportedly, Chinese investors showed interest in the project.

Construction works are planned to start in late August or early September.
