In September 2018, the government of Uzbekistan approved a regulation on the procedure for accepting and reviewing video recordings of offense cases recorded by DVR, as well as encouraging individuals who provided them. The document was put into effect on July 1, 2019.
“The procedure was put into effect, a system began to operate collecting video recordings with traffic violations, which can be sent by any resident of the country,” a ministerial representative said.
The amount of remuneration will be 5% of the minimum monthly wage ($1.2) for each video, the ministry added. Funds will be paid from the amount of the fine collected from the offender. Information about the people who submitted the video will not be disclosed.
Video recordings of violations recorded by DVR will also be accepted for consideration in accordance with the procedure established by the Administrative Responsibility Code, the Ministry of Interior noted.
